However, when YouTube started targeting that extension, I moved to Firefox (non-Chromium-based) and was recommended uBlock Origin by many online reviews. It worked GREAT at first. Unfortunately, it seems like YouTube is now targeting uBlock Origin as well. YouTube has become very laggy in its response time, whether on the homepage with no video selected, or when opening a dropdown menu/settings. Even loading comments or interacting with the like button has become extremely slow. That being said, uBlock Origin is still doing its job by blocking ads, which is a positive.
