I think its Awesome but I also think that it shouldn't be grayed out when its been installed

Stopped working suddenly as many others said.. Very frustrating. I found out that if you have "Ghostery" enabled in your Firefox - Betterttv extension doesnt work. If i disable ghostery its suddenly working. Dev please, can you fix this clash?

I confirm the extension stopped working after updating Firefox yesterday. The extension always appears disabled on the toolbar even though it is checked as active on the extensions pane.

can also vouch for the other reviews saying the BTTV extension suddenly stopped working. issues began arising for me on 2025-01-23, with the emote button disappearing when clicking on it. not sure how it can be replicated on the developer's end, but i hope it can be soon fixed for those of us affected by the issue.

It used to work like a charm, but a few days ago the emote button suddenly disappeared every time I clicked on it. I can still see others using them in chat but I can no longer use them. No idea what caused it since I didn't change anything, it just happened over night and reinstalling just stopped the emote button from appearing at all.
Update: Can confirm what Shiro wrote, disabling the add-on "Ghostery" on Twitch lets the emote button work again as intended. However there was no conflict before, would be nice if they can work together again.

Stopped working in Firefox, which is my preferred browser. Developer claims they see no issues on their end. I think they need to re-check it. Emotes are NOT working AT ALL. And, yes, I have re-checked my own settings to make sure configuration is correct. As of 2/2/2025, this add-on is still not working. I can't access emotes at all.

The good ol' tried and trusted BTTV. 7TV doesn't work on Firefox.

Works good for channel points and drop redeems, but emotes and emote menus don't work at all. Actually, the entire settings menu isn't there when I open chat settings- so it seems like nothing in that regard is functioning.
Hopefully this gets fixed, because it's been like this for a long while (even after removing and re-adding the addon multiple times)
EDIT (READ IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE):
Okay, if you have this issue remove the extension, clear the cache of both twitch and the bttv website, restart your browser, then come back here and install the extension. A page should pop up asking for permissions, hit "allow"

Addon works right now, but 7tv emotes no longer show up in menu if you want to use 7tv emotes.
