I keep thinking it was Ctrl+UpArrow+F was driving me mad. This is for other dummies like me, it's actually Ctrl+SHIFT+F
and yeah it works. Might be a bug, search window disappears after some various interactions such as toggling between tabs or simply selecting or clicking something on the search page.

In Firefox 144 on Linux, the hotkey Ctrl+Up+F doesn't work; it opens the standard Firefox search

Extremely helpful for navigating large data dumps in the browser. 2025 and still works as expected, even if it's 4 been years since the last update. Brandon please don't abandon this extension. (If you do, I have to write a new one!)

Did not work at all.

I don't expect much more than find by regex... and it does (I just started using it). And since it does this simple thing i give it 5 stars because if there wasn't this I had to code a such extention by my self! GOOD JOB! So bad firefox don't have this out of the box.

Thanks for the best of existing regex search tools. Crashes on some huge sites (e.g. www.gnu.org/software/make/manual/make.html)

Unfortunately it adds a keyword "find %s" without toggle to the address bar. Kind of annoying, please add options.

Regex search is handy, but for some reason the developer decided to hijack the word "find" in the search bar, with no option to disable it or change the keyword. Very annoying, and disruptive enough that I'm uninstalling the addon.

This add on is super helpful and easy to use. It has made a huge difference for me and is exactly what I needed. I like that you can keep the highlights up

Works great for searching normally and with regex. However, it hijacks the word "find" with NO option to disable it, which I do not like. Search hijacking is something trashy malware does and if its a feature it should be optional.

A welcome addition to the deficient default find in page function, however, while I choose to highlight all occurrences of a search word (I read the wrench icon page) which can help, yet the search box disappears from view once you click in the page or a word to copy one instance of it.

Nor does it stay in view across tabs, which is an option that many users have requested of Firefox.

Otherwise, if you want to search again for the same word in the page (after clicking on the page ow word) rather than looking for highlights, or you want to search for the same word on another tab then you need to click the icon again.

Using F3 invokes the FF default find in page, which inconsistently sometimes remains in view, if not always keeping the same last search term. A bug has been filed.

All these years and many of us are still waiting for a true replacement of the old FindBar Tweak, though it did not allow Regex.

Note that I have hundreds of tabs open and do much research, and use a desktop, thus not being an average user.
