I got it to change the stupid giant video thumbnail sizes, which it does. It's great that it also allows you to hide many of the page elements. The only negative is that YT detects the ad blocking, stops the video, and warns your account. It would be nice to also resize the shorts thumbnails.

Disabling the following 3 options should prevent YouTube detecting adblocking:

1. Video lists → Hide sponsored videos & promos
2. Video pages → Skip ads
3. Video pages → Hide Merch, Offers etc.

We're looking at alternative ways to implement these, and we recommend uBlock Origin to block ads on YouTube in the meantime
