Hi Lee, when the extension detects a frame, the right-click context menu should offer "Copy Framed Page URL" to get the URL of the framed page. Can you send me an example of a frame where the extension grabs the wrong URL? I would like to figure out what went wrong. (You can use the Support site link and submit a new Issue, or the Support email link, both of which are in the left column of the add-on listing page.)

Regarding other options: a plain click should get you a valid URL. When you use a modifier key with the menu items, such as Shift or Ctrl, the extension creates markup for pasting into editors. Those are not valid URLs for the address bar.

Regarding active links: TODO (yes, I know I need to figure out how to add HTML to the clipboard, not just text)

I'm not sure what went wrong with the HTML markup text (I generally Ctrl+click the context menu item). Perhaps there was something unusual about the URL or page title in that case?

Mozilla is working on implementing a clean method to write more than plain text to the clipboard, but it's not ready yet (it's only in the pre-beta Nightly version as of now). I'm inclined to wait for that to be finished rather than adopt the method used in Copy Link.
