I have been using this extension for years. It is my main go-to Youtube downloader. It is fast and easy to use. Whenever Youtube makes changes to block downloads, the developer is on spot and quick to make changes to keep up.

This is the only YouTube video downloader addon I can stand to use. The developer has been working on it for years, and in the few times I have had to email him because YouTube changed the way they did something and it caused a problem, he has always responded within a couple of hours. Video downloaders ALWAYS break because YouTube changes their format, but this app is the first to have a fix. It is really incredible that the developer has stayed on top of this project for so long, constantly fixing it and making it continue to work for us, all on a free, hobby basis.

Easy Youtube Video Downloader is a great add-on to allow downloading of high res MP4's and MP3's that are no longer enabled on youtube. Works as advertised. Thank you for this useful extension!

A while back Youtube downloaders stopped working for 720p/1080p quality due to separating the video and audio streams. Switched to this one, donated, and now I get high quality 720p video/audio music videos by the hundreds that I shuffle play on all my devices. Amazingly, this extension takes the HQ video and HQ audio and remuxes them together and then lets you download. Tried a few others and their video quality was poor (lots of pixelation) as they re-encoded. This one appears to simply remux/join the original video and audio into one file which play back on all my devices. Recommended!
