This is one of my most used Gmail extensions that has significantly boosted my productivity.
1) I wish I could sort the links or manually re-order them.
2) There is an annoying bug I wish could be fixed: Every once in a while a quick link gets a "?compose=..." argument appended such that a compose window opens after clicking on the created quick link.

Inbox) way down. It would be usable if I could move the set to the bottom and/or flip the list out of the way with a small clickable triangle or something like that.

Unfortunately, Google decided to remove it for some reason.
The good news is, this extension can help bring it back - it works just like the Gmail Lab one. It also have Chrome version by the way.
