It works, but it's cumbersome to use. Alter marking the text, it's necessary to open the extension's configuration tab to select a colour (unless using the same colour for everything), then hitting the shortcut key. Removing a marking is not possible, one has to select the Page's background colour as highlight and mark the text (good luck figuring it out if the Page is not white or black or some other obvious hue...)

My thoughts on this extension:

- remove the link to the class syllabus that you wrote this as a project for, pretend you maintain it at least please. Or a link to a GitHub page where people can see your source code and do the work for you if you are unwilling to do it, which also looks less... rough. PS anyone can pull your code from the extension bundle anyway, you are hiding nothing from people who are not using windows if that was your hesitation.

- there is no reason I shouldn't be able to select the color myself instead of three options you defined and used ambiguous labels for. Accept user input and add it to the CSS this then overrides the default with. It is hardly much additional code. The fact the icon color is not an option bothers me and makes it seem like that got more work than the underlying function (people want the reverse btw)

- single keypress doesn't work, key combo would be better anyway and some ChatGPT generated documentation with it

Doesn't work

Can't get it to work. A page pops up after clicking the icon. No matter what I do, going back to the tab where I need to highlight words, nothing works. This sucks.

It's exactly what I was looking for... except it lacks control.
I want to highlight words, not paragraphs. This is difficult to do.
Perhaps some of my other add-ons are causing it to play up?

It has almost got it right; but I'm going to keep looking.

Excellent, but conflicts with SingleFile, making it impossible to save files.

Could very easily be the best highlight addon BUT it causes the cursor to jump to beginning of line when typing in web text boxes such as Twitter/Facebook & makes typing nigh on impossible. Issue reported on Github but developer taken no action.

Love this add-on, especially the ability to customize the color. If there was a way to remove highlights it'd have five stars!

how can I remove the highlights words (undo)?

Effective Add-on, but need some attention:
1) You can't save the highlights if you refresh the page. Be careful and print your screen.
2) You can't "unhighlight" your annotations.
So basically It's a highlight in a paper from real life lol.

Needs the ability to remove the highlighted text.

It highlights. But it doesn't unhighlight. Would be great if development continued.

This is what I want, simple and it works well.

but, It will better if I can open setting page in addon manager like other addons.
