It's a good add-on that I use occasionally. However, if I don't use it for a while, the “Reverse Image Search” option sometimes disappears from the context menu without warning. I don't know why this happens. In that case, opening the options screen and clicking “Save Options” will restore it.

No "reverse image search" in context menu???

When I switched my default search engine to Ecosia.org, I lost "search for image" in my context menu. This extension puts that back in, with multiple choices, including google.

Fantastic and very useful add-on

It's perfect. All the customization you could want with no extra BS.

Tried it Feb. 2025 with jpg's from my pc opened into Firefox, hoping it would invoke google lens. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work at all on images from the pc; all search engines respond something like Oops or "couldn't upload image". Hoping there's an improvement available...

It still uses Google Lens.

Have been using this addon for a few years now, can't recommend it enough! Thank you Brawl!

The only thing that could make it better is if it didn't switch to the new tab when searching, but not sure if that is possible with addons.

Edit: Dev replied saying feature already existed, making it better! The options are tricky to find with extensions.

Stopped working on 7/20/23. Opens a blank page. Used to be a favorite tool.

Fantastic. Open source, no permissions needed, can search multiple providers (Yandex is actually pretty good!).

It was a little hard for me to find the settings. You have to go to Firefox' extensions settings, and on the Reverse Image Search details page (you can also get here directly from the extension's own icon, via the "Manage Extension" link), you click the three dots icon to the right of the on/off toggle button and there's a link to the the preferences.
