After more than twenty years and more than a hundred versions, Firefox is still lacking this indispensable feature ("open in a background new tab") in the contextual menu of the links! The feature exists via Ctrl+Shift+Click but it still doesn't exist in the menus! Incredible but true!
And not only does this add-on offer that sorely lacking “Open this link in a background new tab” menu, but it's also in deactivated state as long as you don't visit the tab!
