wot Wužiwar Firefox 18218893, egy éveBroken. Setting "current home page" does not work if homepage is a local file. Even though hitting the home button works for local files. So it should be possible to navigate to any homepage on the event.
They support something they call "local file" option, but it is not a local file, instead it is a static copy of the file loaded somewhere into the extension storage. Therefore any changes to the local file are not reflected. E.g. it is not possible to sync/backup such file.
Also URL bar of the new tab is cluttered with homepage URL, so its very cumbersome to use it.
Perhaps it is not fault of the extension itself, and it is just result of infamous FF anti-features regarding extensions they push constantly. But anyway, it does not work as described. Uninstalling.

je so egy éve napisałNo, it's not broken, that's not true. Yes, local files don't work. But that's explained in the extension and a restriction of the WebExtension framework. It's not an add-on issue at all. Just set-up a local server and you won't have any problems, it doesn't take more than five minutes.

Edit: Didn't change anything on the system. I fiddled with it for quite some time after. Also asked ChatGPT, ruled out AdBlockers, still could not work it out. Sorry but this shouldn't take more then a few minutes to set up. May FF is blocking it in some way.Wotmołwa wuwiwarja
je so 2 hónapja napisałI don't understand this poor rating. If the extension worked at first, then it can't be the extension's fault if it no longer works. You must have changed something on your system. The extension doesn't stop working on its own. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Rudolf_Snail, 2 hónapjaDoes exactly what I expect it and want it to do — great extension.
- Z 4 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 18891860, 3 hónapjaGenerally works very well, but the settings link on the tools dropdown list doesn't work
edit :
go to the menu bar, click Tools
at the bottom of the list is "New Tab - Settings"
when I click on it, nothing happensWotmołwa wuwiwarja
je so 2 hónapja napisałThank you for the review. I can't see any broken settings link. Can you describe what you mean in more detail? - Close to perfect. I just wish it would highlight the address in the URL bar when making a new tab (google). I just want to start typing in the URL bar and currently it types before the current URL and doesn't replace it. I have to manually highlight the URL then start typing. Switching it to focus on the website is ok but it doesn't work with google to type a web address, it always just searches for it on google.

je so 2 hónapja napisałThank you for the review. Unfortunately, this is not technically possible for an extension. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot InSinCere79, 5 hónapjaUnlike the "Custom New Tab Page" extension that hasn't been updated in 5 years. This extension actually does what it says. Was able to set google to new tab with this extension.

- It was working fine. But, no longer. I have chosen custom URL (https ://www google com /advanced_search). It doesn't go there upon opening new tab.
It may have been updating firefox to 136.0.4. (spaces added to URL - review does not allow otherwise)
EDIT: Okay, now I got it work. I had to uninstall it and re-install. Something Firefox did somewhere broke it, but I can't say what. I certainly never touched it. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 18382956, 8 hónapjagive me the feature i miss in vanilla firefox

je so 8 hónapja napisałThanks for the review.
It was a feature in „vanilla Firefox“ in the past, but it was abused by bad players and therefore Mozilla was forced to remove the option. But at the same time they gave extension developers the ability. So we have to be thankful to Mozilla.
