Magic Clipper for Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. It operates 100% locally within your browser.

The extension reads the content of the active web page only when you explicitly trigger a capture (via the popup button or context menu). Captured content is sent directly to Google Gemini Notebook using your existing Google session cookies, without passing through any third-party server. No data is sent to the developer or any analytics service.

Permissions justified:
- storage: Local user preferences (account index, locale).
- cookies: Read-only access to existing Google session cookies for Gemini Notebook authentication.
- activeTab: Content access only on explicit user action.
- notifications: OS notification when import completes with popup closed.
- downloads: Local file download of captured content.
- contextMenus: Right-click "Clip selection" menu item.
- scripting: On-demand content script injection for PDF/Markdown generation.
- <all_urls> (host): Required for universal context menu and content script injection.
