When a user navigates to a website, SafeBrowse checks the destination against trusted threat intelligence sources, including VirusTotal and DNS-based security intelligence, via a secure server-side service.
No personal data is collected or stored by the extension. Website checks are performed anonymously, and all threat analysis is handled externally to keep the browser extension lightweight and privacy-respecting.
Users can view block statistics, allow or block specific sites, and override warnings when necessary.
