We locally store the current state of certain features such as whether or not Site Sleeper or Quiet Mode are enabled or disabled, along with your whitelist preferences, if you have any set. This data never leaves your browser and is not sent or stored anywhere else.

Events & User Interactions

To ensure you are presented with relevant content and updates we will store some data based on the events that take place while you have the extension installed as well as your interactions with it. This data also never leaves your browser and is not sent or stored anywhere else.

User Account Data

In order to provide you with a stress-free and streamlined experience across our websites and browser extension, if you are already logged into an account on one of our websites upon installation (scanguard.com), our extension will automatically log you into this account rather than starting a new trial period.

Otherwise, we will automatically create you an anonymous account allowing you to benefit from our features without providing any personal information. You will only need to provide additional information if you decide to upgrade to our premium service.

Any links from within the extension that direct you to our website will automatically log you in to save you having to do this manually.

Campaign Optimisation
