wot fireside, 5 წლის წინI have 21 megabytes of bookmarks (.json file). This sorts them all in 10 seconds. Amazing (like the old SortPlaces addon). One suggestion: Put the options to sort or auto-sort in the usual locations: A simple sort command in the bookmarks menu. And the autosort option here: Tools menu, Addons, Extensions, Sort Bookmarks, Options. I think some of the bad reviews are from people not seeing the options to sort or auto-sort. So they install the addon, and nothing happens. It is good that the options are found when clicking the addon icon. But many addons also have the options and commands in the traditional locations too. And people often remove addon icons (on purpose or accidentally) with the "customize" window to save space at the top. I wish that Mozilla would give addon star rating averages from only the last year or two of reviews. Because addons can be greatly improved over time. I had a 1-star review for this addon years ago, and only deleted it today when I checked out the addon again.

I can now sort my OTHER BOOKMARKS by DATE ADDED in most recent chronological order and have it stick. And NOT have it alter the bookmark order in the BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR folder.
Right-click a specific folder and locate at the bottom the add-on option to configure. Remember to tick the box "Always keep sorted" then click "Confirm".
I tried the Auto-Sort Bookmarks add-on extension from another dev, yet that did not offer specific folder configuration. The folder options were only global.
As of writing, this was operational on version ESR 115.17.0

- Z 4 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Dave, 2 წლის წინWorks well. Most reliable way to have settings per folder is to have bookmarks sidebar open and right click on a folder, then select 'Sort this folder'. In fact this seems to be the only way to set unique settings for 'Other Bookmarks' folder. Using Firefox.
