Exactly what I was looking for! Awesome dev! I just created a mozilla account to write this: PLEASE do NOT delete or abandon this addon as long as Startpage does not support this incredible important privacy feature in their offical addon! Keep up the great work and thank you for investing your time in this!
PS: Maybe (but only maybe) you could implement options like other languages, regions etc. in the POST request

    Does it what it says, but the name of the search engine "Startpage search engine POST request" as it appears on the address bar when triggered using the @ keyword is way too long.

    This can be avoided when using this extension as the default search engine, but this improvement would be great. Perhaps "Startpage - POST" would work.

    Still needed, the official Startpage search continues to use GET.

    Is this addon still necessary? Startpage seems to provide me with search results while still using POST request instead of GET

    When I wrote this addon the official startpage addon only provided GET, I don't know if something changed. If in startpage website settings you specify to use POST, searches from the website will correctly use POST, but searches from the address bar used to use GET, and this is why I needed this addon. If the official addon has implemented this I'll remove this addon to avoid confusion
