This Privacy Policy sets forth the privacy practices with respect to all information, data, graphics, content, software applications; the uVPN website, located at https://uvpn.me, (the “Website”); and other uVPN products or services provided or otherwise made accessible on or through the Software or the Website. Collectively, the Software, the Website, and any other uVPN services are hereinafter referred to as the “Service”. In this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us”, “our” and other similar references mean uVPN and “you” and “your” and other similar references mean any particular user of the Service. This Privacy Policy describes how uVPN uses personal information of users collected through our Service (“Personal Information”).

This policy applies (i) immediately to users who utilize the Service on or after the Effective Date and (ii) on the Effective Date to users who utilize the Service before the Effective Date. Any person who does not agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy should not utilize the Service. Each capitalized term not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.

2. Definitions
a) “Contact Information” means (i) your name, (ii) your physical address, (iii) your email address and (iv) your telephone number.
b) “Effective Date” means the date set forth at the beginning of this document.
c) “uVPN” means any parent, subsidiary, member, officer, director, employee, or agent of uVPN or any company under common control with uVPN.
d) “Privacy Policy” means the set of policies set forth in this document.
g) “User Account” means an account permitting access to the Service, with which is associated a user name and password.
h) “User Account Information” means information that identifies you to the Service, including your user name, password, internet protocol address, and MAC address.
i) “User Content” means images, comments, and other materials that you post to the Service.

3. Which personal data do we collect?
We do not collect your personal data if you are a free unregistered user of our service, except for the data which is collected automatically (e.g. by cookies). If you are a registered user, we may collect the Personal Data that is provided by you to us directly (e.g. because of your usage of the Services, Website; or because of creating a profile with us).

In case you want to delete your account or data associated with you, please contact our support team. Additionally, iOS and Android users are able to delete the Personal Data in the profile menu by going to the application settings and pressing the Delete account button.

phone number;
company information;

Data which is collected automatically:

IP address;
web browser type and version;
device name, code, manufacturer and language;
time zone, connection type, WiFi network name;
operating system;

4. Which technical data do we collect?
uVPN extension collects some technical data by default. Technical data is used to keep uVPN extension secure and up-to-date, detect, diagnose and fix problems and also make product improvements. This data does not include a user's name or email address, the content of the user's files.

This technical data is collected and sent to our servers about uVPN client software running on the user's device. The collection of technical data is optional. We give you the ability to choose whether to send us optional technical data through the use of privacy controls.

Technical data helps to identify problems with uVPN extension that may be related to a device or software configuration. For example, it can help determine if a uVPN extension feature crashes more frequently on a particular browser version, with newly introduced features, or when certain uVPN extension features are disabled. Technical data helps us detect, diagnose, and fix these problems more quickly so the impact to users is reduced.

browser version;
os version;
extension version;
client's ip address;
stack trace of the error.

5. Purposes of the data collection
We collect information about you because:

you have provided it to us – for example, if you contact us to ask us questions;
we need it to provide the Services;
we would like to improve our services – for example, through the collection and analysis of statistical and research data and the use of cookies;
you become a registered user;
we need it to carry out administrative functions;
we need it to comply with our legal obligations; and
for purposes directly related to the above;
we help you to personalize your experience of the usage of the Services;
we monitor the activities of our users on the subject of frauds, misusage and comfort usage;
we conduct research and measurement activities for purposes of product and service research and development, advertising claim substantiation, market research, and other activities related to the Services;

We may directly communicate with the users through e-mail to ensure the proper services provision and to promote our services in accordance with relevant legislation.

6 Storage and Security
We believe the security of your information is a serious issue and we are committed to protecting the information we receive from you. We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your information under our control. Notwithstanding such measures, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from the Service. We also are not responsible for the actions of any third parties that may receive any such information.

We may transfer your information to, or maintain it on, computers located outside of your country, in a location having laws that are less protective of your privacy.

We will retain Personal Information only as long as our business needs require. We will then destroy or render unreadable any such information upon disposal.

uVPN reserves the right to send you e-mail relating to your account and to the Service. You cannot opt-out of receiving such e-mails, and you agree to receive them.

8. No Responsibility for Privacy Practices of Third Parties
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Service. It does not apply to sites that have linked or are redirected to or from the Service (“Third Party Sites”), regardless of whether or not such link or redirection is authorized by uVPN. Third Party Sites may have their own policies regarding privacy, or no policy at all. uVPN is not responsible for Third Party Sites and you use them at your own risk.

9. Interactions With Others
The Service may contain areas where you may be able to publicly post information, communicate with others such as discussion boards or blogs, review goods, services vendors, and submit media content. Such use is subject to our Terms of Service, and may be viewed by the public at large. Any information, including Personal Information, that you post there will be public, and therefore anyone who accesses such postings will have the ability to read, collect and further disseminate such information.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy
uVPN reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy. Such changes may be announced to you either by email or by the posting of the revised policy on the Service. You are responsible for reviewing both your own email and the Service to determine what is the then-current Privacy Policy.
