Unfortunately, the tool is only semi-useful. It does not renew the “no videos from this channel” entry when it is deleted by YouTube, but cuts out the channel or video. This leads to the fact that after 30-50 blocked channels you are permanently sitting in front of a seemingly empty start page, because YouTube still fills it with the channels you don't want to see.

It was perfect, but doesn't seem to work anymore.

Very strongly slows off the download of videos on the main page of YouTube. Firefox warns of slowing the page load due to this addition. I like it and I would like to leave it, but it really interferes, sometimes even the cursor disappears from the screen and appears when all the pictures of the video on the engraving page are downloaded. After disconnecting the addition, the main village of YouTube is loaded much faster. It is necessary to optimize the addition

Очень сильно замедляет загрузку видеороликов на главной странице Ютуб. Firefox предупреждает о замедлении загрузки страницы из-за этого дополнения. Мне оно нравится и я хотел бы его оставить, но оно реально мешает, иногда даже курсор пропадает с экрана и появляется когда загрузятся все картинки видео на главной странице. После отключения дополнения главная станица Ютуб загружается значительно быстрее. нужно оптимизировать дополнение

No longer I have to look at shitty grifters and clickbaiters. Although, they still pop up in results of finished videos. Have to supplement it with blocking that element with uBlock.

it doesn't work anymore

It used to be perfect but it stopped working on the homescreen! I hope it gets fixed this used to be indispensable for youtube :(


EDIT: It works again!!!

It not working no more. It shows the list. The X only show up in search. I can block every channel and it will still be there.

Worked perfectly for a while. Though for some odd reason, would eventually make YT unusable with it always not loading the rest of the videos for some reason. It also seems to make a conflict with adblockers as I started getting YT ads while using them and it disappeared after disabling this extension. At that point, it's a question of which I'd like to keep, and I obviously decided to go for my adblock and uninstalled this extension. I'm not sure if this will ever get fixed. I've been experiencing this same problem a few months ago and tried to give this a go again recently, but unfortunately, I started getting the same experience as what I said above.

Excellent for removing nsfw and content farm content from youtube in private windows and/or when not logged in. But if I could have one thing more it would be support for Firefox mobile. Youtube is unbearable without extensions and finding good extensions for mobile is HARD. I do over half my scrolling on mobile Firefox and having this work there would be greatly appreciated.

I use this and blocktube. Between the both of them it allows me to keep channels blocked.

Works well enough for me. I've been using it for about a week now and have blocked many unwanted videos and channels. I would've given it full marks but for two things: Having to open configuration and add a regex becomes a chore, and I wish that blocked channels & videos could also have fed through to youtube's native 'Not interested' & 'Don't recommend channel' functions.

Update: 2025-07-25
As mentioned by several users recently, the block button no longer shows up next to the channel name; not only has this button disappeared, but channels in my Blocked users/channels list are appearing in my feed again (this would probably been much less of an issue if this function had been wired into youtube's native blocking functions, as mentioned in my initial review). I have the latest update installed. Can this please be fixed?
