This has saved me hours, but i would like ability to drag the window so i can read comments and watch the video at the same time.

Nine times outta time it doesn't return any results whatsoever. Terrible UI to begin with too.

It doesn't show replies to the found comments.

Keeps crashing all the time, so virtually useless for 50% of search attempts

It works as far as searching for comments goes but you cannot reply to any comments you found that way, nor jump to them in the comment section. So only about half as useful as it could be. But better than nothing, to be sure. The only reason it is even needed is because YTs comment function sucks ass.

stopped working, still doesn't work year later

It worked really well for about a year but then recently it stopped highlighting thins and didn't narrow down comments. Sometime it just says 0 comments. Whenever I type something in and press "enter" it just brings up the comment section that i can scroll down and see.

Always worked and sometimes it didn't work on certain videos but it was still great, but about a month ago it just stopped working (doesn't actually filter the keyword just highlights it but doesn't filter these comments just showing all the comments)
Edit: tried to uninstall and reinstall and have the latest version, don't know how to update permissions since it only shows what permissions.
Edit again: works again from the latest update but is working slowly

This add-on was great until it suddenly stopped working a few days ago. It just says "Ups, something went wrong..." on every attempt now.

Edit 12/06/2022: I uninstalled and reinstalled the add-on and now it's back! Thanks for the update.

No longer working as of 2022/12/3. Showing "Ups Something went wrong..." on every video. Tried switching computers, networks, clearing cookies etc and no change. GitHub shows last update on 4 months ago, seems to be abandoned.

I've used it for a couple months now and it works really well, even if you search for a really vague term, it will find something really similar to it. Sometimes it has trouble searching for things tho. You also can't search on youtube shorts which is unfortunate. but other than that it works really well

how can i use this on shorts?

It works 50% of the time, often showing the "Ups Something went wrong..." error or straight up not showing comments with the keyword I entered, despite there clearly being such comments. So yeah, it does work but is quite unreliable.

Update: Works much better now.
