This has been one of three esential plugins (the other 2 security-based) I have used without issue on both Windows and Linux synced copies of Firefox. As advertised. I dig it, other people dig it; you will - 'bets-on' - dig it too. Be a cool cat and kick some tabby-tab-tabs out of your resource reserves. Firefox could focus there too btw ;) Thank you Mr Neomy kind and generous gentleman he is ('bets-on' always is.)..

    Very good work! This extension effectively reduces the RAM usage. Among all these extensions with similar function, Auto Tab Discard works best and is the most configurable.

    I'm a little bit of a tab hoarder... And that results in all of my 32GB of RAM filling up all the time. Then I need to close the browser and open it again, to free up my RAM. My next planned step before knowing about this extension was to buy more RAM.

    But this extension fixes the problem. All tabs that are not used just get their resources freed after some time. How this is not a standard feature in Firefox baffles me... So it goes without saying; This is a great extension!

    I've found Auto Tab Discard very useful for many years. It keeps my browser running smooth, even when I've got upwards of 400 tabs open.

    Everything works for me (that I've set it up for) except the option to discard pinned tabs on startup. Logs just say it's not ready. But, this add-on seems to be abandoned atm :(

    All new tabs crash with this extension now. If the add-on won't be updated, there's no point in continuing to use it
