Used this add-on for a long time and it's been great but recently I reinstalled it on my browser and it seemed it no longer worked on embedded videos. Eventually I discovered that when the dialogue window to save the file fails to open, it's possible to click a blue button at the top of the download page which will be labelled 'Download 1080p' or whatever quality you've chosen. Then the dialogue window appears allowing you to save the file. It's not totally obvious though and I only figured this by chance, having never needed to do it previously. But ultimately the add-on works so that's the main thing!

    You have to use the crappy built-in search to find the video, can't download from the page itself like in every other download manager. Very sus and crappy in general, avoid.

    As others have said, there is an issue with the video having no sound. I chose the 1080p version of a file, and the resulting file has no audio track at all.

    But I do appreciate that I can download the subtitle tracks, that is useful. (It comes up in the list of video formats After you click the format you want in the little popup icon)

    Personally between this having no video, and VideoDownloadHelper putting a big watermark, your best bet may be to use both and then combine the video from the former and the audio from the latter :/

    Downloaded the video although the download was prevented on Vimeo itself. Unfortunately, the downloaded video didn't have any audio. :-(
