This addon has an option internal page in contextual menu in 3 dots right side of name in Firefox Addons (about:addons)
Select google and update with this config:
Search URL:

Search Variables (One per Line):

Finally click in Update Options button.
and now is fixed.

- Works flawlessly, except when you open a second window, in that case, if the search opens in a new tab, it doesn't matter if the setting is "next to current", the new tabs always opens rightmost of everything.
