Large language models such as ChatGPT and Gemini can lose coherence as conversations grow lengthy. Re-Anchor restores continuity by capturing the full dialogue and exporting it as .txt or .html. Exports preserve links to any files or images shared during the session.
Once saved, start a new thread and upload the file to re-anchor the model and continue exactly where the previous exchange ended.

What it does

One-click export of the entire visible conversation (user + assistant).

Formats: plain text (.txt), rich HTML (.html), or Google Docs export.

Preserves links to uploaded files and images.

How to use it

Open a ChatGPT or Gemini conversation.

Click the Re-Anchor icon and choose TXT or HTML.

In a fresh thread, upload the file and click either prompt button under the instructions in the extension window. Paste the prompt into the chat field and continue exactly where you left off.

Privacy

All processing happens locally in your browser.

No analytics, no tracking, no server-side storage.

The extension only runs on chat.openai.com, chatgpt.com, and gemini.google.com.
