Open the extension from the Firefox toolbar. Click the Firefox extensions icon in the toolbar. Find “Save Your AI Chats — Save GPT Chats” and click “Pin to Toolbar” if it’s not visible yet. This makes the extension always accessible while you browse.How it works 1. Open the extension from the Firefox toolbar 2. Save your ChatGPT conversation 3. View your saved conversation You can open the file at any time in any browser, share it, or archive it safely.Save your ChatGPT conversation. In your ChatGPT window, use the built-in export menu and choose: HTML or Markdown. The extension will detect the file and save the chat with its full structure.Your conversation is saved as an HTML file like: chat-2025-11-18T07-04-27-264Z.html The saved file includes: the entire chat text, code blocks with syntax highlighting, embedded images, clean, readable formatting.

  • ChatGPT inline uploads: Images added from disk or pasted screenshots are now detected even when rendered as blob URLs or background images, then embedded directly into the exported HTML.
  • Image authorization: Fetching remote attachments now keeps session credentials, allowing files served from OpenAI's authenticated CDN to be saved correctly.

  • Media extraction: Entire message containers are cloned to ensure any attachment wrapper that lives outside the text bubble is preserved.
  • Background media handling: Elements with CSS background-image definitions are scanned and converted to base64 data URLs so UI-styled attachments (e.g., screenshot previews) survive offline.
  • Reusable media pipeline: A new hydrateCloneWithMedia helper deduplicates inline/base64 conversion logic for both the main and fallback extraction paths, reducing missed attachments.

  • Code syntax highlighting: Restored dark theme (github) for code blocks as it provides better syntax highlighting visibility
  • Message ordering: Improved message sorting by using actual DOM position instead of calculated positions

  • Image preservation: Images are now properly inlined as base64 data URLs in HTML files, ensuring they work offline
  • Message order with images: Fixed bug where presence of images would break message ordering - now images are processed without disrupting the extraction flow
