What I liked is the coloring and the UIs.
But I have some serious issues with this add-on:
The way how it works: Every tab is saved as an URL like "moz-extension://...url=...". When you switch tabs, the tabs of the current group are closed and tabs of the new group are opened. If you click on the tab it takes an additional time to load the tab.
This process costs a lot of time if you have many tabs.
It took me about 10-20 minutes to switch a tab group - to be fair, that one specific tab group had about 2500 tabs which is a lot.
The second big issue is that you lose all your tabs if you uninstall the add-on:
Actually I still have my tabs, but they are stored with the URL "moz-extension://...." and therefore my opened tabs are practically unsuable, but also the history is. Now I have to write my own plugin to remove that prefix from the URL and hopefully I can work again.
Normally I would rate it one star because it was practically unusable for me but to be fair having 2500 open tabs I am not a normal user and I guess there are technical limitations that prevent the tabs to be "hidden" and you have to do it that way with the URL prefixes.

közzétéve: 8 éveIf you are "not a normal user", then you should understand that I currently do not have the ability to hide tabs because of the limitations of the Firefox WebExtensions API.
If you are "not a normal user", you could go into the settings and remove the checkbox "Enable fast group switching" - and this will disable the functionality that you did not like so much, namely: the URL like "moz-extension://...url=...". You have 2500 tabs - I understand what you have a problem.
About the fact that when you delete the extension there are tabs with the prefix moz-extension - this bug I'll postfix, thank you for finding it.
Thanks for your feedback

- Csillagos értékelés: 1 / 5készítette: Trent Meyer, 9 napjaWhen it works, great extension. Can't close Firefox though as I always lose my tab groups. When manually restoring from a backup, Firefox will just crash. I end up trying several backups before one finally loads my tabs, and of course they're not the exact ones I want.
- Csillagos értékelés: 1 / 5készítette: nightly_user67834, 13 napjaWorked well for a time, then deleted all of my tab groups, and neither my manual nor automatic backups were saved.
- This is by far the best tab grouping app available. It offers unmatched flexibility and customization compared to anything else on the market. Unfortunately, it’s been broken for months. Even when I manage to get it working temporarily, it often loses my saved groups or fails to restore them properly. The restore feature is inconsistent at best.
It seems Firefox updates may have caused compatibility issues, which is understandable, but I wish the developer had continued maintaining it. This app is leagues ahead of Firefox’s recent native tab grouping, which feels limited and clunky by comparison.
I’m holding off on uninstalling it because I still hope for a fix. The moment it’s stable again, I’ll gladly update my rating to 5 stars. - Csillagos értékelés: 4 / 5készítette: Firefox felhasználó 16291059, 24 napjaAlmost everything I could possibly want, and it almost brings Firefox up to parity with OperaGX's workspaces (though it surpasses it in others). Almost.
Pinned tabs and Firefox's native tab groups tend to 'leak' (for lack of a better term) through the groups in this extension. - Csillagos értékelés: 3 / 5készítette: Ugarov, egy hónapja

- Csillagos értékelés: 1 / 5készítette: Gluttony, egy hónapjaI was loving this, until I lost all groups when coming back to work today, all was fine Friday... I'll try redoing them, and after looking in options I saw there are backup/restore options, I hope it works, else I'll have to fine something else.
Edit: finally I saw there are automatic backups and was able to restore last one, give 4 stars, not 5 that would have been if I did not lost all groups in the first time.
Edit again: I should have looked better, yes all my groups have been restored, counters of tabs seems good, but there are missing tabs, when I change group it just jumps to a tab keeping others (from other groups) open, and do other weird stuff... And now its even worse that before I restored... Too sad... - Csillagos értékelés: 3 / 5készítette: Firefox felhasználó 10019882, 2 hónapjaBasic functions work: in management mode, drag & drop one tab list item to another group; switch to group. The biggest problem is memory usage after long time usage of Firefox v 143 on a Mac Tahoe (not sure of other OS). The memory usage jumped from around 1GB to 7GB after upgrading MacOS to Tahoe version. In the background, must be keeping other OLD tabs in groups already closed but still open (not sure contents of pages already loaded). When I disabled this extension, suddenly more than 20 tabs popped out when total opened tab in all groups were about 7. Plus, Firefox now has implemented tab grouping feature same as Chrome: to collapse tabs into 1 group tab.

- i keep having issues with previous session not opening, and normally i can just click "restore previous session" and it returns all the tabs to the correct groups but i had a guy clean my pc today and he didn't restore session before closing and reopening again (which makes the option dissapear). which left me with "reopen all tabs" in recently closed, and not only did it not restore them all, they were not in groups after restoring. well, the extension only made the experience slightly worse but i needed somewhere to vent i guess lol. becareful out there if you cherish your tabs
