- I love that it hides but (by default) doesn't automatically unload/close a tab that you stash (it stays loaded in the background) because it allows you to switch back to the hidden tab without having to reload the page (so e.g. you don't lose your place in a video your watching). You can customize this behavior in the options menu or change it so that stashed tabs are automatically unloaded/closed. It might automatically unload running hidden background tabs under certain conditions but this behavior can be disabled in the options.
There's no picture of it, but the "Tab Stash" submenu in the (right-click) context menu has the items:
Show Stashed Tabs in a Tab
Show Stashed Tabs in Sidebar
Stash Tabs
Stash This Tab
Stash This Tab to a New Group
Copy Tabs to Stash
Copy This Tab to Stash
Options
Firefox's sidebar (that I previously hardly ever used) makes using this addon extremely convenient because I don't have to open/switch to an intermediate "tab management/list webpage" (i.e. a webpage that lists all tabs & tab groups, like OneTab's "Display OneTab" page).
[EDIT/UPDATE: Turns out you can using the sidebar] You can stash multiple selected tabs at once but I'm not sure if it's possible to stash them directly/immediately into a preexisting named tab group of your choice like you can do with OneTab (I think that stashed tabs either automatically go to the top-most group or it creates a new unnamed tab group - it seems to only create new unnamed tab groups for me but that may be because I've been fiddling with the options).
It would also be nice if there was a menu item like "Close this tab and remove it from all tab groups" so that I don't have to manually find and remove a tab (from the tab groups) once I'm 100% completely done with it.
Overall, I think this is superior to OneTab, which was my previous tab manager (I hear that Mozilla is working on finally giving Firefox its own tab manager so we'll see if tab manager addons become unnecessary).Fejlesztői válasz
közzétéve: 4 éveHi, thanks for the detailed review! Regarding your question about stashing directly to a particular stash, if you have the sidebar open, the blue buttons with downward-pointing arrows (the first two buttons under each stash name) will do this, but there’s no way to do it from the context menu currently.
There’s an open feature request here that you can keep an eye on though: https://github.com/josh-berry/tab-stash/issues/30
Thanks again and I’m glad to hear you’re finding Tab Stash useful! - Csillagos értékelés: 5 / 5készítette: Firefox felhasználó 14182310, 4 éveIt's what I needed for so long! All the features I actually liked from SimpleTabGroups but as a sidebar and PERFORMANT!
Grouping stuff is super comfortable. And the search with unlimited results is great. Fejlesztői válasz
közzétéve: 4 éveHello, at the moment, there are two known issues (one in Tab Stash and one in Firefox) that can lead to high CPU usage and which I'm looking into for the next Tab Stash release. Fortunately, there are workarounds for both.
First, if you upgraded to Tab Stash 2.10 from an earlier release and you notice high CPU usage after the upgrade, please try uninstalling/reinstalling Tab Stash (simply disabling it isn't sufficient). Pre-2.10 versions had a bug which left some stale deleted-items entries around, and when you first upgrade to 2.10, those entries will be cleared all at once, resulting in the high CPU. Uninstalling/reinstalling Tab Stash is another, faster way to clear out the old entries.
Second, there is a bug in Firefox's saved session handling which can cause Tab Stash to have high CPU usage. Tab Stash tries to work around this bug, but the workaround is what causes the high CPU. The bug seems to have gotten worse in recent Firefox releases and so I'm looking at ways to improve the workaround. In the meantime, however, clearing out any invalid saved-session data usually resolves the problem; you can find instructions here:
https://github.com/josh-berry/tab-stash/wiki/Restart-Firefox-Without-Saved-Session-Data
If neither of these things helps, please feel free to open an issue on GitHub and I'd be happy to troubleshoot further with you there.- Thanks for the great utility.
I have ADHD and often have information overload, this tool has helped me a lot in staying organized.
PS.
If you can integrate feature to manage tags in lists/groups or items, the utility will be even better.
Thank you so much. - Csillagos értékelés: 5 / 5készítette: Ozymandias, 4 éveWhat a relief this extension exists. I love you guys for this. No more cluttered desktop with a bunch of windows open, just freedom!

közzétéve: 4 éveHi, thanks for your review! There's no limit as such, and I've heard of users with thousands of tabs saved with no issues. So you should be good for a while. :)
If you do run into issues, though, feel free to open a GitHub issue and I'll be happy to take a look! - Csillagos értékelés: 5 / 5készítette: Firefox felhasználó 13654436, 4 éve

- After giving up on the competition, I returned to the Mozilla universe. In doing so, I found that FF was no longer the problem child it had once been. It's now speedy and fun once more. Only thing missing was decent tab manager. Enter Tab Stash. This is one of the sleekest, simplest and reliable extensions I've encountered. Josh, you've done what Mozilla could not - gave FF a good, reliable tab manager - I LOVE IT! Ya did a great job and made a lot of users happy. Only thing I'd change at this point is to add an opportunity to click on a stashed tab, have it open and remain in the stash.Thanx!!!

közzétéve: 4 éveThanks, I'm really glad to hear Tab Stash is working well for you!
Re. your comment about switching tabs, you actually can--just click on the tab title itself (NOT the yellow "Open and delete" button). Tab Stash will switch to or open the tab (restoring it from an existing hidden or recently-closed tab if possible) but keep it in the stash.
Hope this helps, and thanks again for the kind words! - Csillagos értékelés: 5 / 5készítette: Simone.parvizi, 4 éveGREAT. it's literally what i wanted. I would just put further away the "open and close everything " button from the "open every tab" button, so that it would be less probable to missclick. THANK YOU
