What you can do

• Rewrite in the tone you want: Professional, Friendly, Casual, Formal, Concise, Empathetic, or Confident.
• Fix grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a single click — no config, no red squiggles.
• Translate to and from every major world language, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Set a default target
  language once in Settings.
• Generate emails, social posts, and more from built-in templates — professional and friendly emails, follow-ups, LinkedIn posts, short posts for X, apology messages, thank-you notes, meeting summaries, product descriptions, and blog post
  intros.
• Refine any result — make it shorter, longer, or tweak it with a custom instruction — without starting over.
• Read aloud any selection from the floating toolbar, or any result directly in the results panel — with play and stop controls.

Designed for how you actually write

• Floating toolbar appears next to any selection on the page.
• Editable-field trigger shows a small WriteMate.io icon in focused inputs, textareas, and contenteditable fields, so the assistant is one click away without breaking your flow.
• Results in a shadow-DOM panel that can't collide with a site's styles — one-click Copy and paste wherever you like.
• Per-site disable — switch WriteMate.io off on sites where you don't want it, from the popup.

History and templates

• Review your recent generations, filtered by action — Rewrite, Fix Grammar, Generate, Translate, Refine, or Read Aloud.
• Turn history off entirely in Settings if you prefer zero retention. History is encrypted on our server.

Three tiers — start free, upgrade for less than you'd expect

• Anonymous (no signup): daily and monthly free quota. Great for trying everything.
• Free (email or Google sign-in): a bigger quota, longer inputs and outputs, and more templates.
• Pro: unlimited monthly usage, the longest inputs and outputs, every template — at the lowest price of any major AI writing extension.

Privacy and safety by default

• Family-safe content filter is on by default. Unsafe prompts are sanitized, refused, or hard-blocked server-side and never charged against your quota.
• You choose how much context WriteMate.io can see — from nothing at all, to the site's name, to the surrounding field, to the full page — configurable in Settings.
• Nothing we don't need. We don't log raw prompts, AI output, or page content. History is encrypted at rest.
• No tracking pixels, no ad SDKs, no third-party analytics in the extension.

Cross-browser

Works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, built on Manifest V3 with a standard cross-browser API layer.
