来自 Firefox 用户 15038450, 7 年前I changed my rating.
Originally I put 1 star because:
1. https://amiunique.org/ reports me as UNIQUE.
2. No support email, only github (I don't even know what it is and I do not want to create account only to ask for support).
Happy to change rating if I receive support (not github but email or phone) and problem is fixed.
----------------------------------
I changed to 4 stars because:
1. I was explained that it does not matter if I am unique as long as my profile changes each time which, apparently, it does.
2. The developer contacted me privately even though he's alone and he's not a company or a team. I appreciated that.
3. I put 4 stars instead of 5 because we have become used to better user interface layouts.
All in all I am happy and I recommend it.

In short: it fine to have these sites to report a unique fingerprint as long as the fingerprint changes (which is the case in the default CB settings). You can open up the console (Ctrl + Shift + K) and have a look at the actual fingerprint. There you will see that the protected fingerprints change with each reload.
Regarding support: github is mainly a code managing service (you can look at the complete source code and history of CB there). But it also offers a requirement and bug tracking feature. As I am only one person I have no time to give individual email (or even phone) support. On github some helping angels can support me. Also it provides an overview of already asked questions and open issues so other people with the same issue can see that it is known and/or what the solution is.

- This add-on breaks Google Maps on mobile. Google Maps is completely unusable; I am forever stuck on a constantly loading page that keeps switching between a blank page and the Google Maps page. Uninstalling this add-on did nothing, clearing cache and cookies did nothing, and even whitelisting the site itself in Canvas Blocker didn't do anything. I only ever started having this issue upon using this add-on.
And no, I'm not making an off-site account just to report this problem, I'm posting it here. Ridiculous. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 19544944, 2 个月前

- One of the essential plugins for everyone that care about anonymity when you surf on the web. If you stay on one of the 2 lowest settings you can increase your anonymity dramatically on the web without breaking functionality, so you can surf the web pretty much like everyone else without even noticing it while still staying hard to identify if you for example combine this with VPN. This alone will help but its one of several other key plugins you should install to shield yourself against tracking on the web.

It blocks or fakes the data that websites use to track your device without your consent. I like that you can customize how strict it is for each site, so if something breaks, it’s easy to adjust. It runs quietly in the background and doesn’t slow things down. A must-have for anyone who cares about online privacy and wants more control over what sites can learn about their system.

- Works very well. If you want to test this addon whether it works or not, just visit the page which is mentioned in the description. (for example: browserleaks website)
It's just a shame that I only recently discovered canvas fingerprinting, even though it's been around for so long. Keep your privacy up folks. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 19145735, 5 个月前

Only really useful if you are the developer and understand all of the obtuse menu options. - 评分 5 / 5来自 BrunoFontes.Net, 6 个月前
