    I Love this Add-on! I'm always seeing videos (Mainly tutorials) that I want to be able to view again whenever I want. Luckily, it's pretty easy to do. Just click the VideoDownloadHelper button in the toolbar. Pick the format and quality and boom! It's done...;-)

    I just keeps getting Better! The Best way to pull down interesting and helpful YouTube videos!!!

    You can only save HD video if you pay - I wouldn't mind muxing the audio and video together myself, but there is no option for that.

    Update. Still no reply from the author, so dropping my rating for now and moved on to another program. Original comment: Great program, BUT, lately, when I click the download button, it opens a blank page. I have submitted a support ticket twice (one two weeks ago and one today) without a response. If this is fixed, I will happily send additional money

    I use Video Downloader because there are several videos available on You Tube that are not available elsewhere. Many are music videos that I want to play on my devices off-line, without needing to be connected to You Tube. For example, if I am on vacation in a remote location. This extension allows me to save a high quality video or audio file for later use. The quality is WAY better than the readily available MP3 files. I was at first skeptical but am now convinced it is worth the requested donation for the upgraded version. I had a technical support question and the developer responded within 24 hours. That is really impressive when most developers require several days.

    For some reason this add-on completely ignores 480p options. The highest quality you can download is 360p because they say 720p and above has its audio and video streams split or something (it does). Okay, but what about 480p? At least let me download a video in a quality that isn't COMPLETE garbage.

    It hasn't been able to find MP4s for several weeks now - there's just an error message there - even though it's supposedly up to date, and I see no other video format choices. There is a link to report bugs but that seems to work only for paid users, which I'm not. One other thing - the images to the right of this box are way out of date - the interface hasn't looked like that in a long time. Since it's useless to me I've disabled it; I'll try re-enabling it in a few weeks but if it's still useless I'll remove it.
