    No longer working for me following latest extension (4.2.3) and FF update (137.0.1). Click the button, does nothing.

    Thanks for noting! A new update (v4.2.4) is now available which resolves the issue.

    As of version 2.2.7, this works perfectly in Windows. Note that it requires you to allow it to run in private windows. When I first tried it, I didn't have that enabled. So instead of opening a private window, it opened its Settings page to let me set the permission.

    As others said: it don't work in android, and no: enabling "run in private mode" doesn't help.

    Support for Android is not yet possible due to a missing API on Firefox for Android. Once this gets implemented the extension will add support for Android. Support for Android has been corrected and is now marked as "not supported for Android". Apologies for the inconvenience.

    I'm on Android. As others have stated, it just closes the tab without reopening it as a private tab. It would be an awesome add-on if it worked

    The idea is nice and would do just what I wanted, but it does not work. Issues found:
    - If a private window is open, it does not seem to work. Even after closing the private window that was open, it does not work.

    - The original tab is closed, but the new private one is not opened, so it forces you to recover the closed tab.
