Brings back a function that should be standard in Google. Although: unfortunately not for facebook, instagram and other sites that copyright the images of users (which in itself is unacceptable by the tech giants).

Does Exactly what it says it does and adds the view image button that was once in google image search back to Googles image search. The best part is when you click view image it opens the image by itself (in most instances) in a new page, making it easy to select just the image.

Some pictures it works and for some it doesn't. and it's not like in the screenshots, the user interface isn't the same as the old one shown in the add-on's screenshots. It's the same interface with a 'view image' clickable button, which would be fine if it worked for all pictures consistently.

The extension generally works well, but the “View Image” button doesn't appear for images hosted on sites such as Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn.

Additionally, the button regularly fails to show up on the first click, requiring you to select another image and then return to the original image to see it appear.

I hope the developer can resolve these issues in future updates.

Doesn't show the "view image" button. It has all the permissions but does nothing as of February 2024. However, right-click and "open image in new tab" seems to work.

Works in Feb 2024, I just had to manually give it permission to acess google.com data in the add-on's settings.

As of 12/6/23 I noticed it is not working. Shame. Please patch soon! I'll adjust my review after.

Because of whatever Google's new layout is, this button is once again gone as of at least 10/31/23, possibly longer.

This add-on works when combined with the 'Google Images Restored' plugin which reverts to the old layout.

Though it'd be nice if the dev updated it to work with the new layout.

So far, View Image has worked reliably and when you clicked on View Image, the photo was opened in a new tab. Unfortunately, it no longer works. Please update the extension. I therefore give the full 5 stars because it has always worked reliably before and because I am enthusiastic about this extension. Addendum, since February 2nd 2024 this extension no longer works, as Google has apparently tinkered with Google Image Search again.

This add-on usually works great but maybe because of constant updates to Firefox or Google, it's been inconsistent for the last 4 to 6 months, it seems, so that's why 3 stars instead of the usual 5 stars. It's really helpful, so I'd like to ask the dev, Joshua B., if he can please try to work out the issues it's been having. All of us really appreciate your work and have come to rely on it. We know you don't owe us anything, but we'd all thank you a lot if you can maybe do it when you have some time. Thanks for providing this to the community and we hope it gets resolved soon!
