It's better than nothing, but it is time to find something better - I think they are chasing money now, rather than providing awesome service. Both is ok, but I think they have the balance wrong now.
*** EDIT ***
No, the nosloq.com do not have an anti-ad blocking device in place - other than warning people it can cause issues.
The pop-up is just to let people log-in, but if they don't have an account they just need to click it off - so then can register instead.
If you use the site WITHOUT adblock - it works.
If you have ad block on, the pop-up just re-spawns. It is not a deliberate issue at their end - as when I spoke with them, they say you ARE aware of the problem - but just blamed it on problems with "filters".
The "legal way" to solve the problem here is to correct the filter that makes a single-show login popup, become a relentless re-spawn problem.
I have seen other sites do something similar too - it works fine (without any ads) without you - but if adblock is enabled it just breaks the site.

pubblicato il 2 anni faHello,
thank you for contacting Adblock Plus.
Some websites indeed have an anti ad blocking wall in place, which requires users to disable their ad blockers to access the page.
Websites are in their right to request this, though we believe it is an extremely intrusive practice. We cannot legally stop it but we are constantly exploring legal ways to combat this.

- Valutata 1 su 5di ThyBountyHunter, un mese faI wish there was a Zero rating, I get a pop up on Edge, saying "We have blocked 5,245,388 ads for you!", here are what is wrong with that.
1. only tried this add on about a year ago and I took it off, so why is it asking me for money?
2. Why is it popping up on edge...I never put an add on there.
3. I never used edge so how can it stop 5,245,388 ads for me when I never used the browser for more than 10 minutes at most, ever.
This add on is a scam, this add on is dangerous.Replica dello sviluppatore

There is no obligation to upgrade and you can dismiss the page by clicking the "x" on the browser tab. You can also dismiss this page by going to the Advanced tab on your ABP settings and unchecking the box next to "Allow Adblock Plus to show occasional promotional messages." - Valutata 4 su 5di Giuseppe, un mese faADBlock mi ha liberato dalla pubblicità che rendeva fastidioso e quasi impossibile navigare

I know it is this extension because I turned off all extensions and added them back one at a time. I hope you can pinpoint the problem and fix it quick because I would hate to lose this ad blocker!
