Recensioni per Cookie AutoDelete
Cookie AutoDelete di CAD Team
Recensione di Paddy
I hate having to login to certain sites over and over, especially if I've enabled two-factor authentication on my account and can't be bothered opening Authy on my phone every time, so I like to keep my cookies for as long as possible. However, an overabundance of cookies in your Firefox profile directory is both a privacy and a performance nightmare, and it's often necessary to clear your cookies in order to correct certain browsing issues, which means re-logging into all of your usual haunts.
With Cookie AutoDelete, you can choose which cookies you want to keep, and it will automatically (or manually, if you like) delete all of the other cookies that you haven't specifically protected. It protects cookies by whitelisting URLs whose cookies you want to keep, and you can choose only to protect certain types of cookie from specific sub-domains. You can also specify how often and under what circumstances you wish the add-on to silently clear unprotected cookies in the background. If you like, you can have the add-on notify you every time it does this. The toolbar icon shows the number of cookies the current URL is generating and the icon is also colour-coded to show whether or not cookies are protected on the current URL (blue for "yes", red for "no"). The convenience and usability of Cookie AutoDelete is very high.
There's not much in the way of competition for this add-on, it's simply the best of its kind that I've used. I'm including in that comparison those cookie-management add-ons which are exclusive to other browsers like Chrome.

- Valutata 1 su 5di Vamone, 3 giorni faDoes not work......... No blacklist. No setting to delete everything by default unless whitelisted. wtf is this garbage?
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 18157935, 19 giorni faWhen using machines, and or Win OS that are not the very latest Ex: Windows 10 or below (This may incl. Win 11- Which I don't use) and or if the internet cache is insufficient to workload, esp during long sessions, many sites, (ie: social media, streams etc) can become sluggish, or misbehave in various ways depending on the factors mentioned above. CAD has been VERY helpful to Me, when cleaning the cache, fixes certain cookie accumulation that can hinder optimum functionality.
This extension is excellent when: Configured & compatible with the host device, OS vers, browser settings, running apps/ext. and when used properly, for that which it is specifically designed.
NOTE: It is IMPERATIVE to learn and understand ALL the settings, options and to utilize them correctly. Customize them as per your personal needs. Failure to do this could result in a less then ideal or a negative experience of this fine, useful extension. - Valutata 5 su 5di Mot, un mese fa
- Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 19506450, 5 mesi faThis addon is no longer auto deleting cookies that aren't whitelisted. And it seems a number of cookie managers are now suffering the same issue, WTF Mozilla can't add this as a standard features to FF is beyond me.
- One of the essential plugins for anonymity. This allows you to control cookies. Firefox have some protection built in but this gives you much more control with whitelists etc just 2 clicks away if you need it which makes it a must to those that want some level of anonymity while surfing the net.
- Valutata 5 su 5di Lilith D. Bracken, 6 mesi faReally useful extension for keeping cookies under control without having to think about it. It automatically deletes cookies from closed tabs while keeping the ones you trust. I like that it supports containers and gives you options to keep cookies temporarily or permanently. It helps keep browsing clean and private, and it’s easy to manage with clear settings. Perfect for anyone who wants better privacy and less tracking without constantly clearing cookies manually.
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 19484692, 7 mesi faRecently I've found that all cookies I have are really from the URL (websites) I visit, not with weird names like 000adv.net as before. So, I conclude that this app works well!
- This was probably a good extension as of the last update (3 years ago). Now it's abandoned, unmantained, obsolete and maybe even dangerous.
The list of domains has a terrible layout with misplaced scrollbars, very difficult to navigate.
It also requires the following two flags:
* privacy.userContext.enabled
* privacy.userContext.ui.enabled
that I cannot remove in order to disable the useless "container tabs" feature. - Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 13877502, 7 mesi faAutocleaning stopped working correctly, cookies are not deleted

- Doesn't reliably clean all cookies. With auto cleaning and cleanup on domain change options enabled, i often find non-white listed cookies left behind, long after the 15 seconds time limit and even after restart.
The UI is very convoluted. I appreciate the right-click entry that allows you to whitelist websites while there, but setting up the options of the addon is a mess. Perhaps a novice/expert UI option would help with that.
