    UD's way more lightweight than the bigger extensions; thank you so much Thomaz!

    One issue I've been running into is Twitch streams being covered by the extension. I've tried changing the "precision" value (tried 1, tried 10) and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. Hope you can provide some help with that, but great work otherwise!!

    Edit: I see that this issue's been brought up on github back in February. Hopefully progress on that's still going well!

    Only using for a few days now, but the performance difference compared to the absurd Night Reader is instantly noticable. It's certainly not perfect yet but after changing to this it's difficult to go back.

    Great addon! Would be awesome if you could apply dark mode per window, so that I can keep the window on the main monitor with light theme, and apply dark mode for websites only on a secondary monitor.

    Oh goodness, finally, a dark mode extension that works well enough and does not destroy my device. Thank you. We can deal with the bugs, please keep developing <3 (and yes its seriously fast)

    I’m still working on it. I’m in a pause but next update will fix more bugs and bring new ui

    It hasn't actually worked yet. It doesn't change anything about the pages on this website, for example, or YouTube. Something may be blocking it, but I enabled permissions when asked by Firefox. I don't think it's uBlock, because it behaves the same way when that's disabled. Please advise! Or help

    This website is protected to avoid extensions from rating themselves.
    Not a single extension will be enabled when navigating here

    Has issues with some sites. Sometimes it inexplicably stops working on a site and not just refreshing the page fixes it. When it works it works well and looks nice while being fast.

    Would love to be able to blacklist sites to not run this (Gmail behaves funky when this is enabled, I'm sure there are more sites that I'll run into the future)

    Other than that it works great.

    A major user interface overhaul is coming soon! In the meantime, the current UI already allows you to exclude sites from being darkened. If you don’t see the extension’s button pinned in your toolbar, it might still be hidden under the puzzle piece (🧩) menu, where newly installed extensions are grouped

    The Android version of UltimaDark is available primarily to satisfy a few users, but it is not actively tested. However, since it is identical to the browser version, it inherits bug fixes and new features automatically. While we’re happy to hear that some users have it working, please remember that UltimaDark remains a highly niche and experimental project, so your experience may vary.

    That said, detection of the system night mode on desktop is already planned. If Android Firefox shares dark theme information with web extensions as Firefox Desktop does—which is very probably the case—then the Android version should inherit this functionality once implemented, with a bit of luck.

    Indeed fast :) but a lot of permissions needed
    works well on telegraaf.nl , better then dark reader.

    Each permission in UltimaDark is added only when absolutely necessary and is used in the most minimal way possible. Browsing history and cookies remains untouched. Clearing the cache is done on key moments (such as updating settings ) specifically to prevent loading unedited resources, ensuring consistent dark mode application across websites.

    While UltimaDark might perform better than other tools, such as Dark Reader, on certain websites (e.g., telegraaf.nl), it’s worth noting that Dark Reader is developed by a team of over 40 developers and more than 1300 contributors, whereas UltimaDark is free and still the result of a solo effort.
