Auto Tab Discard di tlintspr
Recensione di kelendral
The description makes claims that are not so true in the current FF environments (other unloaders don't actually unload) that are easily verified in about:performance and about:memory. Checking those, one can see if the other unloaders work or not.
Annoyingly it does something no other unloader I have tried so far does, marks every tab it unloads as 'updated' in the same way as if the tab had an autorefresh or notification. This makes every tab it unloads look as though a message is pending if you highlight such in any way. UNLOADING SHOULD NOT MARK A TAB AS UPDATED!
Last it misses tabs that based on the setting should most definitely be unloaded. Sometimes even duplicates of the same tab (thus confirming no rule conflicts as it unloads some but not other duplicate identical content tabs).

- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 15081822, un mese faWorks as expected. Very useful for batter life and old devices with low RAM and weak CPU.
It is must given today's badly optimized and scripts entangled mess we call a web. Not so much from security POV but at least idle means idle again. - Valutata 5 su 5di rjt, un mese fa

My only gripe is that the name and "discard" terminology is misleading; I'd have tried it way sooner if not for that.
A must-have extension for anyone who opens a bazillion tabs all at once, and probably even for people who only open a few (since it doesn't take all that many before Firefox begins to slow, even with fast PC).
I don't know why Firefox doesn't handle unloading tabs even half this well natively, but it really doesn't. Firefox runs so much better with this installed.
I appreciate the detailed options very much, as well. You can customize it to your liking. - Valutata 5 su 5di Cleanminds, 4 mesi fa
- Valutata 5 su 5di anti_monopoly894, 4 mesi faI wouldn't be able to always have 50+ tabs open if it wasn't for this, pretty good

- Valutata 5 su 5di Lilith D. Bracken, 5 mesi faThis extension is awesome for keeping my browser fast and my laptop battery lasting longer. It automatically puts inactive tabs to sleep, freeing up memory and reducing CPU use without closing anything. When I switch back, the tab just reloads right where I left off. It’s super lightweight, easy to use, and works quietly in the background. Perfect for people who keep lots of tabs open but don’t want their computer to slow down. Simple, effective, and really useful.
