Privacy Policy — CigarBid Tracker

CigarBid Tracker is a free browser extension that overlays historical auction price data from cigarpricetracker.com onto listings on CigarBid.com. This page describes what data the extension handles, what it doesn't, and why.

What the extension collects

Nothing personal. The extension runs only on cigarbid.com pages. When a listing page loads, the extension reads the product data that CigarBid already embeds in the page source (SKU IDs and lot IDs) and sends those SKUs to the cigarpricetracker.com API to fetch historical price data. It does not read your login state, session cookies, payment information, bidding history, or anything else from your CigarBid account.

• No account or sign-in is required to use the extension.
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking is performed by the extension itself.
• No data is sold or shared with third parties.
• The extension does not set or read any cookies on cigarbid.com.

What the server logs

When the extension calls the cigarpricetracker.com API, the server logs the request like any website: requesting IP, timestamp, path, response status. These logs are used only to operate the service (rate limiting, debugging, capacity planning) and are not linked to any identity. The API sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics.

Cloudflare sits in front of the service as a CDN / WAF; Cloudflare's own privacy policy governs any data they process in that role.

Data the service stores about cigars

The cigarpricetracker.com service stores publicly-available auction data — cigar names, SKU IDs, lot IDs, closing prices, and close timestamps — as scraped from CigarBid.com. None of this is personal to you or to any user.

Third-party services

The extension itself does not load any third-party resources while running on cigarbid.com. It only talks to cigarpricetracker.com over HTTPS.

Affiliation

CigarBid Tracker is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CigarBid.com, Cigars International, BPA Sales LP, or Scandinavian Tobacco Group.

Removing the extension

Uninstalling the extension in Firefox removes it completely. It has no server-side component tied to your browser and nothing to delete on the service side.
