What Congruently does
Congruently is a browser extension that reads captions generated by your video conferencing platform (Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams) and provides real-time coaching suggestions. The extension runs entirely in your browser.

Data that stays on your device
Meeting captions — read from your browser's DOM, processed locally, never transmitted to our servers
Coaching history — stored in your browser's local storage only
Your preferences — mind selection, settings, stored locally
Memory and context — anything you type into the chat input stays in your browser
Data sent to third parties
When coaching is active, caption text is sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) to generate coaching suggestions. This is the core functionality of the product.

What's sent: Recent caption text, your selected mind/coaching style, and any context you've typed
What's NOT sent: Your name, email, meeting title, participant names (beyond what appears in captions), audio, video, or screen content
Anthropic's data policy: Anthropic does not train on API inputs. See Anthropic's privacy policy
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) users
If you use your own Anthropic API key, caption data is sent directly from your browser to Anthropic. Congruently never sees or proxies this data.

Account data
During beta, we collect an email address for verification and beta access. This email is stored on Cloudflare Workers KV and is used only for:

Verifying your beta access
Sending important product updates (rarely)
We will never sell your email or share it with third parties.

Analytics
We do not use any analytics or tracking on the extension. No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no telemetry. We have no visibility into your meetings.

Debrief summaries
After a meeting, Congruently can generate a debrief summary of coaching moments. This is generated by sending accumulated coaching data (not raw captions) to the Anthropic API. The debrief is displayed in your browser and stored locally. We don't have access to it.

Data deletion
Since your data lives in your browser, you control it completely. Clear your browser's local storage or uninstall the extension and everything is gone. To delete your email from our beta list, email us and we'll remove it immediately.

Children's privacy
Congruently is not designed for use by anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes. During beta, the product is evolving and this policy will evolve with it. We'll always err on the side of less data, not more.
