Love it. Easy. Automated. Confusing Blue Color.
Strength:
• Open source. If you are not familiar with "open source", it means this app is more secure. Because its code is publicly available for review and contributions on GitHub at https://github.com/Cookie-AutoDelete/Cookie-AutoDelete
• Attractive MIT License. This means the software code of this add-on app is owned and supported by a friendly not-for-profit community. Instead of a for-profit corporation. And more secure because its full code is publicly available for review.
• Easy to use. Using the button in the browser toolbar.
• Whitelist cookies. Very easy. Two clicks to whitelist a website.
• Frequent add-on updates
• “Automatic Cleaning” allow you to optionally automatically delete cookies from closed tabs after a set delay
• Export or import your whitelist of cookies expressions/rules
• Well documented
• Works with Firefox 52 or more recent
• Available for both Firefox/Tor Browser and Chromium/Chrome
_____• https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookie-autodelete/
_____• https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cookie-autodelete/fhcgjolkccmbidfldomjliifgaodjagh
• Internationalization (i18n)
• Many more features
Challenge:
• The color of the toolbar icon for whitelisted websites is blue. Which is confusing at start. Because for most extensions the color green is use for whitelisted websites. But after this initial learning curve, the user interface works fine.
• Can not edit cookies. But this can be done with other extensions which focused on software engineer and testing.
Using:
• Extension 2.2.0
• Firefox 52 (64-bit)
• Tor Browser 52 (64-bit)
• Debian 8 Jessie 64-bit
• GNOME 3.14.1

- Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 19506450, 3 mesi faThis addon is no longer auto deleting cookies that aren't whitelisted. And it seems a number of cookie managers are now suffering the same issue, WTF Mozilla can't add this as a standard features to FF is beyond me.
- One of the essential plugins for anonymity. This allows you to control cookies. Firefox have some protection built in but this gives you much more control with whitelists etc just 2 clicks away if you need it which makes it a must to those that want some level of anonymity while surfing the net.
- Valutata 5 su 5di Lilith D. Bracken, 4 mesi faReally useful extension for keeping cookies under control without having to think about it. It automatically deletes cookies from closed tabs while keeping the ones you trust. I like that it supports containers and gives you options to keep cookies temporarily or permanently. It helps keep browsing clean and private, and it’s easy to manage with clear settings. Perfect for anyone who wants better privacy and less tracking without constantly clearing cookies manually.
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 19484692, 5 mesi faRecently I've found that all cookies I have are really from the URL (websites) I visit, not with weird names like 000adv.net as before. So, I conclude that this app works well!
- This was probably a good extension as of the last update (3 years ago). Now it's abandoned, unmantained, obsolete and maybe even dangerous.
The list of domains has a terrible layout with misplaced scrollbars, very difficult to navigate.
It also requires the following two flags:
* privacy.userContext.enabled
* privacy.userContext.ui.enabled
that I cannot remove in order to disable the useless "container tabs" feature. - Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 13877502, 5 mesi faAutocleaning stopped working correctly, cookies are not deleted

- Doesn't reliably clean all cookies. With auto cleaning and cleanup on domain change options enabled, i often find non-white listed cookies left behind, long after the 15 seconds time limit and even after restart.
The UI is very convoluted. I appreciate the right-click entry that allows you to whitelist websites while there, but setting up the options of the addon is a mess. Perhaps a novice/expert UI option would help with that. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 18752595, 7 mesi fa
