di STaylor9726, 7 anni faWorks perfectly with a few other tweaks!
When I first installed this add-on, it worked perfectly. I recently uninstalled it when YouTube updated it's platform.
This is how I got it to work again and how I stopped YouTube videos from preloading, AT ALL.
1. Get this other add-on YouTube Design Preserver 2.2.0 https://github.com/GuyXY/YouTube-Design-Preserver. Set it to 'Old Layout'
2. In your web browser, go to About:Config. Scroll down to and double click media.autoplay.enabled. This will change the value from 'True' to 'False'. No media on any site is allowed to start playing automatically.

- Valutata 5 su 5di ok, un mese faWorking as advertised for me.
Edited /*Though, I was looking for it to not load when I clic on another tab I opened, but when I change video on the same page I’d like an autoload. But well, I suppose that differentiation can’t be made ^^ */
Edit : Spoke too soon, there is a setting for that !
But sadly, it doesn’t seem to work… It only makes backgroud tab bug. - Valutata 5 su 5di centurion 2000, 2 mesi fa
- Valutata 5 su 5di Deathmatic, 4 mesi faIt works just fine (latest browser, no problems with other extensions). The Only problem i see is that you sometimes have to click 2x to have it load and play. Another problem: In comparison to another browser, it loads the video about 4-5 Seconds, whereas the other Browser feels like it starts after 1-2 Seconds. But overall: it works so Videos don't start on their own. I don't know why YT did that BS and removed it, but that extension is definitely putting it back, despite a little bit of clunkiness.
- Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 17656794, 2 anni faSo fucking sick of addons who only have one job and don't fucking do it or even get close. This exists solely to block autoplay. DOESN'T FUCKING DO THAT.
- Valutata 1 su 5di The_Oncoming_Storm, 5 anni faDoes nothing. No matter if it's on or off, videos will automatically play when the page loads and will not stop until you hit the pause button. How worthless.
- Valutata 2 su 5di mozmeister, 5 anni faIt used to work, but now, like other reviewers have said, it kills the YouTube channel home page entirely.
