FreshFeed Privacy Policy

FreshFeed does not collect, transmit, or share any user data.

What we store locally (in your browser only):
- Your Fresh Mode toggle state (on/off)
- Your selected topic preferences
- Your date filter choice

This data never leaves your device. We use chrome.storage.local (or browser.storage.local in Firefox) — a standard browser API for local extension storage.

What we send to YouTube:
When Fresh Mode is on and you visit YouTube's home page, FreshFeed fetches search results for your selected topics from youtube.com. These requests are sent WITHOUT your YouTube login cookies, so they appear to YouTube as anonymous, logged-out requests. We do this so the videos returned are not personalized based on your watch history.

We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry of any kind. We do not have a backend server. There is nowhere for your data to go because we don't collect it.
