Making a browser extension for something already a feature Seems SUSPECT
If you prefer not to install anything:
Open Firefox and go to Menu > Settings > Search (or type about:preferences#search in the address bar).
Scroll to Search Shortcuts and click Add.
Fill in:Search engine: Grok
Shortcut: g (or whatever you like)
URL: http s: //grok. com ? q=%s (this passes your query to Grok)(Remove the spaces URLs are not allowed in reviews)
Click Add.
Back in the Default Search Engine dropdown (at the top), select Grok.

This works as advertised -- type in your grok prompt at in the address/search window, and it opens a page with grok's answer in it!

It does work, dont know what that 1 star guy is talking about.

This doesn't actually search grok, it just takes to grok home page and you still need to type what you want to search.

according to grok, the url needs to be set to:

grok.x.ai/#search=%s

well, grok's domain is grok.com so grok.x.ai doesn't make any sense. I tried your way and it failed. I built the addon for my personal use, it's working perfectly for me. Do note that you need to actually wait a while for the search query to automatically be passed after the page loads, you don't need to type manually.
