The recommended Shield popup list is optional, plain JSON data, and can be removed at any time. Magnetar remains local-first with no extension analytics, telemetry, ads, or tracking.

Privacy:
Magnetar remains local-first. Settings are stored in the browser. The extension does not use analytics, telemetry, or tracking. Provider requests are only made when the user chooses to send something.

This release is a compatibility and stability update focused on Firefox support, provider testing, and setup page polish.

What's fixed

Fixed Firefox provider testing
Magnetar now handles Firefox extension APIs more safely, which fixes the issue where provider testing could fail with a credentials error.

Fixed TorBox and Real-Debrid Save & Test
TorBox and Real-Debrid credential testing now completes properly instead of hanging on Testing.

Improved provider request handling
Provider requests now use a shared fetch helper with timeout handling, reducing the chance of requests getting stuck indefinitely.

Improved browser compatibility
Added a shared API shim to make Chrome and Firefox behaviour more consistent across background scripts, setup pages, popup pages, and provider checks.

Fixed dark mode setup styling
The setup page buttons now follow the Magnetar theme properly instead of using the old bright blue hover styling.

Removed unnecessary Chrome tabs permission
The Chrome build no longer requests the tabs permission, keeping requested permissions narrower and cleaner for store review.

Updated provider handling
Real-Debrid, TorBox, AllDebrid, Premiumize, RDT Client, and local provider handling have been updated to use the improved request flow.

Recommended update

This is a recommended update for anyone using Magnetar, and for anyone who experienced provider testing getting stuck or failing during setup.

Hotfix release. Resolves a Firefox bug where the Save and Test button on the options page would hang indefinitely. Adds a 12-second timeout on Real-Debrid validation so connection problems surface as a clear error rather than a stuck button.

Major feature release. New Save for later queue lets you bookmark torrents from the banner or any batch row and send them in your own time. Banner redesign with full torrent titles, theme toggle on the title row, and settings cog up top. Batch panel gains a slide-out drawer with stats, saved queue, and recent activity, plus a 25/50/75 toggle for how many torrents to display and per-row save bookmarks.

Under the hood, a tiered cache layer cuts repeat API calls to your provider by roughly an order of magnitude. Theme changes now apply live across every surface without a page refresh.

Light mode fixes: Save and Test buttons in the options page now render correctly, toggles no longer collapse to a thin line, and download history rows are plain text instead of chunky pills. Share menu auto-flips above the button when there is no room below.

Review prompt now appears once at 200 sends with Rate, Coffee, or Not now options.
