- Makes browsing even more more secure by separating your bank accounts infos, from your Facebook infos, from the rest. Much better than the "private" browsing concept because the cookies for each of these world remain after each browsing session, so you don't have to start over again each time. Much better also, because switching between each container is automatic (if desired), so you don't have to remember who goes where : in itself this is a great security feature. Of course, as the name implies, if you have many accounts for a given site, it also allows you to stay logged-in as these various accounts all at the same time, which is great. Loses a star because setup is not smooth, but once everything is set-up, Firefox Multi-Account Containers becomes totally transparent and a joy to use.

We'll see how well it works for me and actually helping me distinguish stuff throughout my day that's work or home.

Basically, a container that uses incognito, but still having the ability to tab browse beside other non-incognito tabs. Sadly, after the quantum update, one of my favorite add-on became unusable and the developer can't do much about it.

1. Sort containers in drop down list without editing JSON file or deleting all cookies and creating containers from scratch in required order;
2. Organize container contents without looking at each individual cookie (I hear the latter ability will soon be removed by Firefox changes);
3. Allow sync across devices (with option to auto-delete cookies which become container-less as a result);
4. Allow containers to be sync'd with bookmark folders to simplify management and make it easier to remember which websites belong to which containers (websites used in two containers will appear in two bookmark folders);
5. Option to auto-delete cookies in default (no) container;
6. Option to auto-delete cookies not in container specified for that website.
Missing though is that there seems to be no way to verify that container tabs are actually isolated from each other. Also, what advantage is there, if any, to have a window that only contains a single container type , such as "Personal" over a a private window containing the same number of tabs with the same content, where the tabs are not allowed to be container tabs. The container tab idea is great but more documentation and proof of their effectiveness would make them more useful.

I would love to be able to set up website blocks/timers, so I can block going on social media when I should be working. I haven't been able to find the extension I was using for this before. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13902321, 7 anni faThis extension is great for keeping your various on-line accounts separated. In the world of multiple Google, Microsoft, etc. accounts, using this extension allows you to be signed in to all of them at the same time (in separate tabs).
I would like to see a few more features around managing the containers - e.g. being able to re-order them to my liking. Also, allowing custom colors and icons.
I would also like the ability to right-click a tab that is open in the "Default" container and switch it to another container.
Finally, adding the ability to sync my container settings across machines would be the icing on the cake :-)
Keep it up! - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13437305, 7 anni fa
- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13929786, 7 anni faI love how easy it is to use. It would be a full 5 stars if you could convert or reopen a tab in the container. Otherwise, it's a great app.
- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13274262, 7 anni faThere were some issues earlier like reset back to default containers and loose my options, but it worked well for the last weeks.
**Removed text**, found the feature to list all domains and edit the domain list in the current version. Great! - It is obvious that having silos, or isolated brower sessions per tab is a good idea unless you are fine with being tracked about the web.
This solution for Firefox works well for me, as far as I can tell, and is relatively easy to use. It takes some time to setup and each website you visit belonging to an organization that you want to put into a specific container needs to be placed manually into that container (you can't seem to set a wildcard via the front-facing interface?).
But when done, you just surf and tabs open up naturally and all that you've asked to be isolated is: just as I'd want its functionality to behave. - Valutata 4 su 5di colby_cheese, 7 anni faThis is a great start. A few small changes would make a big difference. If there was a way to set one container as the default where all new tabs (unless specified otherwise) went into that container, that would be great. Most of my tabs are work, so it would be nice to have that be the default one.
Also, I'd like it to automatically reset a tab to a certain container like it does to facebook, just by what site I went to. For example, I'd like that same functionality for facebook to apply to Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media. If there was a way to integrate sites that are saved as bookmarks with containers, that might be a great way to do it.
Keep up the good work on privacy. You're the only group that seems to be doing it. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13239242, 7 anni faVery much follows the spirit of "Tab Groups" from the old FireFox.
However, a list of critiques:
- Support for FireFox Sync is almost mandatory for next update priority. The lack of being able to sync my container definitions between all my PCs is going to be deal-breaking if it's not addressed.
- Tab Right-Click assignment of container group.
- Wider range of colors and icons would be nice.
- A better customization experience for power users to control how sites and tabs are categorized, and the edit process for container definitions.
You're on the right track. Please listen to the feedback! - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13923918, 7 anni faGreat addon. One thing I would like to see is the option to only open new tabs in containers for sites that have them assigned. If I open a link from a Google search, I don't want it to remain in my container for Google, even if that means forcing them to always opening a new tab.
