NewTabCrafter stores settings locally in your browser.

The extension does not sell personal data and does not operate its own tracking or analytics service.

When search suggestions are enabled, the text typed in the search box may be sent to the selected suggestion provider, such as Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing, to retrieve suggestions.

When random stock backgrounds are enabled, the extension contacts the Unsplash API and loads images from Unsplash. Unsplash may receive standard request information such as IP address, browser details, and requested image/API URLs.

Uploaded images, shortcuts, layout settings, themes, and exported/imported configuration are stored locally in the browser.
