Privacy Policy — Parsely Browser Extension

Short version
The Parsely browser extension does not track you, does not collect analytics, and does not sell or share any data. The only data that leaves your browser is the recipe URL you explicitly choose to save, which is sent to your own Parsely account at parsely.nl.

What the extension stores locally
- A small queue of in-progress save jobs and their status, kept in the browser's extension storage. This is used to show progress in the popup and to send a system notification when a save completes.
- This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere except to parsely.nl when you trigger a save.

What the extension sends to parsely.nl
- When you click "Save", the extension sends the URL of the recipe page to https://www.parsely.nl over HTTPS. The Parsely backend then fetches and parses that page on the server side and stores the resulting recipe in your account.
- Authentication is handled via your existing parsely.nl session cookie. The extension does not handle, read, or store your password.

What the extension does NOT do
- It does not read the content of pages you visit unless you click "Save" on a recipe page.
- It does not collect browsing history, analytics, telemetry, fingerprinting data, or device identifiers.
- It does not include third-party trackers or advertising SDKs.
- It does not share any data with third parties.

Permissions and why we ask for them
- storage - to remember in-progress save jobs locally.
- activeTab - to read the URL of the tab you are on when you click Save.
- notifications - to show a system notification when a save completes.
- Host permission for parsely.nl - to call the Parsely save API.

Server-side data
Recipes you save are stored in your Parsely account. The handling
of that data is covered by the main Parsely privacy policy:
