- Worked great before... now I keep getting this error even though I never changed my password or anything...
"Authentication error
If you recently changed your password on the Private Internet Access website then re-authenticating with the extension might fix this error."
EDIT: Gave back the five stars because it is now working as it should. I still don't really know what caused it but so far I can navigate with no errors.Replica dello sviluppatore

- CS Team - A few issues connecting to sites such as waiting for TLS handshake to be done while under the VPN, servers sometimes will say the latency is at 0 or 100ms but if I go back and forth it will update with the correct server latency. All in all I'm very happy that Firefox has a extension!
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 14161970, 7 anni faSuper easy to use and connects very quickly and reliably. Credentials persist perfectly now. I have noticed occurrences where logging into certain systems is thrown off by the constant new locations but that's exactly how VPNs function and entirely the point to their use. People having issues logging into certain websites that use IP to identify you should expect their systems to be concerned with the constant changing IPs. I have found ways to reduce the confusion by picking a node for certain types of activities like banking and online shopping and connecting to them every time so the IP stays consistent.

-CS Team- Valutata 3 su 5di Utente Firefox 14134599, 7 anni faNice to see the extension come to firefox. However, login data fails to persist between browser restarts where "privacy.clearOnShutdown.history=true". Unlike chrome version -- this necessitates re-entering username & password on every restart.

I have received a notice form Microsoft Security to warn about unknown activity. I am still trying to access other issues that have been created by this specific VPN service. If their tech people in the next few days fail to sort out my issues I will cancel and demand a refund. They were rated high by PC Mag and while I read some negative comments about their service I went ahead with it due to the PC Mag rating. I should have paid attention to the negative comments which I might add also included comments about poor tech service. Additionally unlike other VPN services I have tried because they offered a free trial this one does not (Big mistake in my opinion on my part) Also now I have downloaded their system unlike other VPN services they do not provide a webpage logon to which I can go to find out possible solutions to my problems and as well how to temporarily log off their system, and in my view why? I also changed the settings on Google Chrome to both allow their system and to allow my speakers to work (another problem) and very apparently their Google Chrome extension is bogus as it did not change the problems

You can enter your username, but field for password does not respond.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 7 anni faHello, this is actually a known bug in Firefox on Ubuntu 18.04 for all extensions with a password field. Unfortunately, this is not something we can fix on our side since it a bug at the OS level. All we can do is wait until the fix is made on Ubuntu's side. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 12560413, 7 anni fa

It doesn't help either that the PC app doesn't open once you download it

pubblicato il 8 anni faHello, we'd like to remedy this issue as quick as possible. Could you send us a copy of the debug log found in the extension, under "Extension Settings", then the "Extension" section, then click on "View Debug Log" and finally click on "Copy Debug Log."
Please email this information to support@privateinternetaccess.com with the Firefox Version and the Extension Version.
Thank you. - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 14090906, 8 anni faMy issue is that when using the web extension, email is stamped as four hours later than real time. Eg, when it is 6pm on the east coast of the US (my present location) gmail and yahoo mail are timestamped 10pm. My system setting is correct, my gmail timezone is correct, and I am connecting to servers in my time zone (New York, Toronto, Atlanta) yet the problem persists. This is not the case when I use the desktop client. I've stopped using the browser add-on as a result.

pubblicato il 8 anni faHello, this is actually due to the "Disable Fingerprinting" setting in the extension which turns on a Firefox setting for increased tracking protection. This Firefox setting essentially sets any publicly available data (window size, user's timezone data, Firefox version, etc) to something very general. This keeps the user from being uniquely identified by Ad and Tracking companies because, the user essentially looks like a generic user rather than a unique user. Installing the extension turns on this Firefox setting by default but can be turned off by clicking on the "Extension Settings" icon, then "Tracking" and finally the "Disable Fingerprinting" checkbox. Then restart the Firefox browser and the timestamp should now be local rather than set to UTC time.
If this fixes your issue, please consider re-evaluating this review and setting a better rating. - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 14088772, 8 anni fa
