di Ramouz, un anno faI have their paid VPN. The browser version of Proton VPN is limited. It's sad. I don't like talking like this because I like their service and speed, but there are so many things missing in all their apps, such as the Windows version, Android version, and the one in browsers.
Split tunneling is lacking on all devices and none have the same features. The one on the browser has the one I want, by website, but you can't include. As in, if you only want it to run on that website. You can only exclude so that it doesn't run on that website.
The one on Windows doesn't have website but IP or apps. You can include/exclude there but we desperately need the ability to add websites there and to decide per website/app/IP if we want to include or exclude. Same on the browser extension. Same on Android.
Here in Firefox, it's also missing a favorites list and the ability to choose a default. Same on Chrome/Edge. All 3 of their apps/extensions look different and behave different and have different settings. Really bad design.
None of our settings sync so you have to set it up each time in every browser, phone, computer OS.
Missing other information and settings.
Considering the number of clients they have, servers, and money they're making, they should easily have the budget to improve and streamline them all.
Will edit review after they update.

Could you share more details about the issue? Are you receiving any error messages? Do you have the auto-connect feature enabled? Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? Contact us by clicking on Help in the Proton VPN extension, then selecting 'Contact us' so we can help you troubleshoot.
- Valutata 1 su 5di BLBC, 3 giorni faWorks perfectly for a few minutes, then it simply freezes, both the extension and the entire connection. You can only fix this by disabling the extension. But when you enable it again, this happens again. And the only way to restore it is to completely reinstall it, only for this to happen again a few minutes later.Replica dello sviluppatorepubblicato il 3 giorni faThat doesn’t sound right. This wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that you can't invert split-tunnelling — I literally only want to use the VPN for one or two sites that I have data on that are blocked in the UK but I can't without it causing problems everywhere else — so I have to continuously Connect/Disconnect via the long-winded means I mentioned above every time I want to use those sites.
Other than that, no issues, but I won't be resubscribing as it's really too much faffing about for something that you should be able to set up as a one-click connect.Replica dello sviluppatorepubblicato il 4 giorni faThank you for your review. Although these features are not available at the moment, we've passed on your feedback to the team for future consideration. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 18835325, 7 giorni faProton's full suite of services has been great for me and I have had no issues whatsoever with Proton VPN. Sure the paid version is way better (that's what I use) but I used the free version for a while first. I can't think of many other free offerings that have a proven track record of caring about your data. If all you care about is getting around certain online Acts - proton free is perfect. For me - the paid version is exceptional.

BUT before you close the browser you need to disconnect from the VPN bc if not you might get stuck in a limbo state but it is fixableReplica dello sviluppatorepubblicato il 18 giorni faThank you for your review. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 19484692, 20 giorni faI am absolutely exited about Proton VPN! Everything is so great in the service and this plugin particularly. Also, I'd like to mention that Proton helps to so many low-on-fund people by giving them opportunity to use it free (with random location).
- Valutata 4 su 5di Nick, 21 giorni faHaving an issue with the split tunnelling not working. When trying to watch a Youtube video it will endlessly buffer if connected to certain counties, even though I have it and all subdomains excluded from the VPN connection. The video will load when connected to my home country, so something about the subdomain exclusion isn't working as intended.Replica dello sviluppatorepubblicato il 21 giorni faThat doesn't sound right. Could you share more details about the issue? Which specific servers have you encountered this problem with? Are you using any other extensions for privacy/security purposes? Are your browser and the Proton VPN extension up-to-date? Please contact us by clicking on Help in the Proton VPN extension, then selecting 'Contact us' so we can investigate further.
