Informazioni sull’estensione
Quick Bookmark Filer (QBF) is a Firefox extension that replaces the native Ctrl+D > Edit Bookmark > Location workflow with a detached OS window and a native Quick Save popup panel.
The principle is simple: never slowing down when saving bookmarks.
QBF has two interfaces: Quicksave and full QBF.
• Quicksave (left-click toolbar icon):
• Full QBF (Ctrl+Shift+F, or right-click toolbar icon → "Open Quick Bookmark Filer") that has 4 modes:
Worthy mentions:
· Many keyboard shortcuts to choose from, and customize;
· Designed for large bookmark libraries (tested up to 100k bookmarks on modest hardware).
· Strict checks during bookmark saving, renaming, moving, deleting (WIP: archive snapshots for redundancy and easy backups).
· No data collection or external service (everything happens on device). Your bookmarks = yours.
All feedback welcome 😉
The principle is simple: never slowing down when saving bookmarks.
QBF has two interfaces: Quicksave and full QBF.
• Quicksave (left-click toolbar icon):
A compact native Firefox panel for fast filing. Name field, folder search, domain suggestion chips, Quick Links, Recent Locations, mini dedup panel, URL-as-Tab mode, path bar with clickable segments and hover popup, and one-click save. No window chrome. Alt+Shift+D or Alt+Shift+Q to open/toggle.
• Full QBF (Ctrl+Shift+F, or right-click toolbar icon → "Open Quick Bookmark Filer") that has 4 modes:
- "Save" mode:
To file the current page, using keyboard search, a browser tree, or by picking recent and quick Links. Suggestions are shows by identifying the domain and existing bookmarks.
- "Find" mode:
To search bookmarks by title, path, URL, or filter. A folder browsing feature is available to see a folder's contents, open bookmarks directly, with clickable path navigation, and the ability to drag search results ↔ tree, as a bridge between Find → Save modes.
- "Tabs" mode:
To browse/search open tabs across all windows — switch to tab, close close, drag-reorder tabs, and others (WIP).
- "History" mode:
To list recently visited tabs and recently closed tabs, grouped by chronological order.
