Really strange PDF processing - you can't load a PDF and expect the add-on to read it. What you do is load a PDF, any PDF, then press the add-on icon. It says something about having to load the pdf, and presents a box to select file, after the file is selected, the PDF is opened in a DIFFERENT tab. So go back and close the original. Why, oh why ? why a second tab opened (since the big update), and why not work from a new empty tab from the start?

terrible, it mispronounces words, skips entire sentences and even make weird or inappropriate sounds halfway through reading. if 0 stars was an option, i'd choose it.

I ran into an issue: additional voices weren’t working in Firefox, even though I really like Amazon Russian (Maxim). Interestingly, everything worked fine in Google Chrome. I managed to fix it by changing the Firefox language to English and reinstalling the extension. After that, the extension’s name changed from Russian text to "Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader," and the Google login window, which wouldn’t open before, finally worked—I was able to sign in.

By the way, the link in the Russian version didn’t work, but it might work if you replace %D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B9%D1%82%D0%B8 with sign in the Russian localization. I don’t need this anymore, but someone else might want to give it a try. Overall, I haven’t found a more convenient TTS tool—this extension is great, but it’s a pity there’s no text highlighting; that would make it even better.

После этого название расширения изменилось с русского на "Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader", а окно авторизации через Google, которое ранее не открывалось, наконец заработало — я смог войти.

Кстати, ссылка в русской версии не работала, но, возможно, если заменить %D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B9%D1%82%D0%B8 на sign, она начнёт работать и на русской локализации. Мне это уже не актуально, но кто-то может попробовать. В целом, более удобного TTS я не нашёл, расширение действительно отличное, но жаль, что нет подсветки текста — это сделало бы его ещё лучше.
