Subtext Privacy Policy
1. Data Storage: All user data, including your Google Gemini API key, chosen AI model, and saved vocabulary flashcards, are stored locally on your device using the browser's local storage API. We do not maintain any servers or databases.
2. Data Transmission: When you utilize the "Scan Page", "Analyze", or "Translate" features, the specific text you selected (or the text of the active webpage) is transmitted securely via HTTPS directly to Google's Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) to generate translations.
3. Tracking & Analytics: This extension contains no trackers, analytics, or ads. We do not collect, share, or sell any of your data.
4. User Control: You can export, import, or permanently delete your entire vocabulary deck and API key at any time via the Settings menu.
